Half of a prologue

As a result from the midterms, I was unable to do that much with the light novel. Since I had less homework this weekend, I was able to finish half of the prologue. I also decided to start the character designs for the characters. They looked okay, but they could be improved even more. Now that the midterms are over, I will be able to have more time to write my light novel and improve on my character designs. My light novel is also a parody light novel. A parody light novel is a genre which makes jokes referencing to other media. My novel will be mostly making jokes on other anime and manga.

Ryosuke no Yabou

I have figured out my light novel's title. The title of my light novel is Ryosuke no Yabou. Its English meaning is the ambition of Ryosuke. The novel's main character's name is not Ryosuke. Ryosuke is actually a side character. The main character's name is actually Takeshi. He is named after my favorite manga artist, Takeshi Obata (Death Note, Bakuman). He is a high school student that lives in Tokyo, Japan. The main antagonist is the principal of the school. I finished the introduction of the novel.

Changing the Characters and the Setting

I realized that my original idea wasn't enough for a whole novel. I felt that it did not contain enough content to be exciting enough. Instead, I thought of a new idea for my light novel. It has a different group of genres than the previous idea. The genres are Slice of Life,Comedy, Romance, and Drama. The setting is present day Japan. The main characters are high school students. The main antagonist is the principal of the school and her daughter. All the characters will be in Japanese style. Each character will have different and distinct personalities. I am still developing the plot, so I still can't reveal it yet.
